The brit milah, more commonly known as a briss, describes the covenant of circumcision. It traditionally is performed on the eighth day of a boy's life.
B'Nai Mitzvot
A child becomes bar or bat mitzvah on their 13th birthday, at which point they are considered an adult in the Jewish community. Traditionally this event is marked by a special Shabbat service during which the bar/bat mitzvah is called to the Torah for the first time.
Additional information about b'nai mitzvah at Temple Gan Elohim is available on our dedicated B'Nai Mitzvah page.
