President Carol Berger

Carol Berger is a charter member of TGE. She chaired the original By-Laws Committee and helped with the Articles of Incorporation when TGE was formed. She has served on the By-Laws Revision and the 2006 Search Committees; and currently chairs the Adult Ed (Nosh 'N Learn) and the newly formed Outreach Committees. She has served as secretary for the past 2 1/2 years. Professionally, she is the Assistant Vice President of IT for the Londen Companies. She is divorced and has 4 grown step-children and 4 "grandchildren" ages 6 months to 5 years old. Her parents live in Illinois.

Secretary Linda Tyler

Linda Tyler has been a member of Temple Gan Elohim since August 2001. Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Linda has lived in the Valley for 20 years and works in public relations for Sun Health. Linda is married to Warren and has a beautiful daughter, Melissa, two step-sons and a daughter-in-law. Linda also chairs TGE's Social and Publicity Committee.

Immediate Past President Jonathan Dalton

Jonathan Dalton originally is from Panorama City, California where he was a member of Temple Beth Torah and moved to Arizona in 1977. His family joined Temple Emanuel in Tempe shortly after that synagogue was founded and became Bar Mitzvah in 1982. Jonathan is a part-time sportswriter and full-time real estate agent in Glendale, where he lives with his wife Kathie and children Faith, Karina and William. Jonathan and his family joined Temple Gan Elohim in 2003 two days after attending their first service here. Jonathan is an active member of the TGE Men's Club, has served on the Worship, High Holy Days and Budget & Finance committees and also served on the board as Financial Secetary.

Jim Shoffer

Jim Shoffer has been a member of TGE since June 2001 - just shortly after the temple was formed. He has served on the 2002 and 2006 Search, By-Laws Revision, Merger Investigation, and the 2005 Nominating Committees. Currently, he serves on the Long Range Planning and the Budget & Finance Committees, and chairs the B’nai Mitzvah Committee. He and his wife, Sally, have been married for almost 20 years. They have two children who attend the religious school faithfully. As a family, they attend Shabbat Services and other TGE functions as often as they can.

Lisa Stolzberg

Lisa and her family have been members of Gan Elohim for three years. She and her husband, Ned, have one son, Drew, who is 10 years old and attends religious school. Lisa currently work as the finance manager for her husband's medical practice in Glendale. Previously, she worked as an accounting and finance manager at a bank in Phoenix, and as an auditor for a CPA firm in Boston. Lisa says she looks forward to working with our board and contributing to the Gan Elohim congregation.
